What is Miss Canine Hoe ?
Mytyl Sheena (electroacoustic performer) は 2021 年に Elly Sheena とともに Miss Canine Hoe をスタート。「音を探す個人的な道程」を歩みつつ、「音の実験」（sonic experiments ≒ experimental music）を展開中。インターネットに散在する metaverse のひとつ、Second Life をその活動拠点としているのも特徴。
そもそも、Mytyl は「音楽」を作るつもりで 2017 年に制作を始めた。しかし、モジュラーシンセサイザーやノイズオシレーター、Ableton Live、フィールド・レコーディングへの傾倒とともに、現代音楽やノイズミュージック、実験音楽などのオルタナティブなジャンルとの出会いを経た現在では、商業的な「音楽」制作よりむしろ、音そのものの響きや重なりに関心が移っている。Elly はユニットのプロモーションや作詞を担当する一方、Mytyl を心身両面で支えている。

制作した音源はすべてインターネットラジオ局 Modular-Station でオンエアされている。また、世界中のモジュラーシンセサイザー奏者を紹介するメディア Modulisme の主催者からオファーを受けてオリジナル音源を提供、ロングインタビューを受ける。同音源はフランス、イギリス、オーストリア、オランダ、イタリア、アメリカのラジオ放送でもオンエア。
2023 年 7 月には、音源を聴いてくださったばねとりこさんからのオファーで、Miss Canine Hoe として初めてのライブ出演。
2024 年からは、新国誠一のコンクリート・ポエトリーを図形楽譜として解釈し、ビデオシンセサイザーも用いて、サウンド・ビジュアル・アートとして作品化する試みをスタートしている。
今後、さまざまなものを図形楽譜として解釈する表現や、サウンド/ノイズのみならずビジュアルを組み合わせた表現への領域拡大を意図している。
ちなみに、”Miss Canine Hoe” はアナグラム。Miss Canine Hoe ∽ Noise Machines
Mytyl Sheena started Miss Canine Hoe with Elly Sheena in 2021. They have been taking a “personal journey in search of sound” and developing “sonic experiments (≈ experimental music)” since then. Second Life, one of the metaverse, is the base of their activities.
Initially, Mytyl started to make “music” in 2017. However, along with her inclination toward modular synthesizers, noise oscillators, Ableton Live, and field recording, her encounters with alternative genres such as contemporary music, noise music, and experimental music have now shifted her interest to the resonance and layering of sound itself, rather than commercial “music” production. Elly always supports Mytyl both physically and mentally, while writing lyrics and promoting.
Most of their sound/noise is aired on Modular-Station, an Internet radio station. Mytyl was also approached by the organizer of Modulisme, a media that introduces modular synthesizer players from around the world and supports their “left-field Modular Synthesis”, to provide original sound files and give a long interview. The soundtrack was aired on radio stations in France, the UK, Austria, Holland, Italy and the USA.
Thanks to Elly’s pointing out, Mytyl realized that she is “a woman living in a man’s body” in 2021.
Since then, the physical and mental transformations have also influenced her expression and interests.
In July 2023, Banetoriko offered them and Miss Canine Hoe performed at a live concert for the first time.
Since 2024, they have started an experiment to interpret Seiichi Niikuni’s concrete poetry as graphic notation and create works as sound/visual art using video synthesizers as well.
In the future, they intend to expand their field of expression to interpret various objects as graphic scores and to combine sound/noise as well as visuals.

Second Life
Miss Canine Hoe は、インターネットに散在する 3D virtual world の一つ、Second Life *1 をその活動拠点としている。
Miss Canine Hoe は、 「国境なき世界」「並走する世界線上にある世界」であるSecond Life の一住人として、Mytyl Sheena が活動（あるいは生活）する中で着想されたユニットである。
3D 画像と言語という「情報」に置換された「身体性」が、本来は身体的かつエモーショナルなものであるはずの音楽（あるいは人工的な「音」）をどのように歪ませるのか。これも Miss Canine Hoe の興味関心の一つ。
Inworld Community Place “MCH Electric Cafe”
Miss Canine Hoe は Second Life の中（住人は inworld と呼ぶ）に、小さなコミュニティプレイスを持っている。
日本時間の深夜に開放されることが多いので、多くの人が集まるということはほとんどないが、たまに訪れてくださるゲストとの話はいずれも内容が濃く深く、興味をそそるものが多い。 DJ などの生配信が行われることも。
